This is a new service for travellers based on telecommunication technologies. Would you like to have some extra luxury when you travel? Do you think carrying suitcases is very annoying and old fashioned? Do you think that could be nice to try something new when you are away from home?

The system

With Luxury Now! you can finally board your flight without suitcase. Seat back and relax, when in-flight entertainment starts switch to the Luxury Now! channel, select the clothes you will be wearing during the next days of your stay, let’s say, in Paris. Choose among Dior, Saint Laurent, Kenzo, choose your size, colors, even underwear, shoes, make up, moisturizing cream, and enter the address of your hotel. Slide your credit card and your wardrobe for the travel is booked!

Upon your arrival at the hotel, check in and reach your room… Opening the closet you will find everything you ordered on the Luxury Now menu. Try different styles, play with your new wardrobe, and if you like select a few garments for receiving them at home when you’re back.

Research

Female travellers and managers, as many other international travellers, are often distressed by the check-in procedure and the weight of a long-stay suitcase content. Travelling completely free of luggage can also ease the safety screening in the airport facilities, allowing passengers to arrive on-time for boarding instead of too early or too late.

Process

Luxury Now was developed interviewing top-level/tech savvy female managers and frequent travellers. We listened to their needs and through participatory design sessions crafted the experience of Luxury Now!
