Future of Learning

Learning is fun! The image of learning as a partially interesting, or worse a boring, activity like many people could have experienced, is changing. New technologies and organizational strucutres can allow children and adults alike to learn more, and learn better, when designing a new project, programming a microcontroller, ride a skateboard, play music, or dance hip-hop steps.

Through novel education technologies people learn even when they not aware of it, the research shows that informal and social learning creates a deeper understanding of complex systems. At CuteCircuit we investigate novel environments and technologies for learning and play. We develop prototypes and conduct user testing and participatory design activities to understand how technologies can improve the experience of learning.

Featured Projects

Dance Interaction

Dance InteractionDance Interaction is a “wearable learning environment”. The future belongs to people that are children today. It is very important to design educational tools that are suited for young generations. Children and teenagers have a higher level of technology literacy, they play videogames, send e-mails, browse through websites to find things of interest to share with their friends. Traditional edecational methodologies that constrain children to sit still at their desk are inadequate to young generations advanced skills and intelligence. Dance Interaction demonstrates how children positively react and learn when they can use their skills freely!

Innovation Workshops

Interaction Design PeopleThe Innovation Workshops series comprises the Wearables Workshop, the Future Fashion Workshop, and the Interaction Design and Physical Computing workshop. These workshops have been developed for Companies and Institutions at University level for providing students with new advanced skills. Additionally we decided to test the same methodology with k-12 students and the results have been great! If you are interested in our workshops for your k-12 students contact us.

We are pleased to provide our teaching services for free to the schools and children based in areas where new technologies are still not accessible by everyone.
