CuteCircuit Design Process
At CuteCircuit we design new experiences may they be novel ways of using existing products or envisioning the use and access to new products and services. Our design question isn’t ‘how many sensors can we put in here today’, but ‘what are the sensors people need in here and do they really need them?’ Life is not only about performance, speed, processors; it is about what people do with them.
We believe that novel technologies and new uses of current technologies can have a very strong impact on people’s lives. At CuteCircuit we are bridging the gap between emotion and technology developing wearable interfaces, electronic textiles, telecommunication services and interactive media and installations.
Methodology
CuteCircuit applies Interaction Design methodology to develop new experiences may they be garments or electronic devices. We base our design around users applying User Centered Design techniques, performing User Research and User Testing of products, developing hardware and software prototypes. We involve people in Participatory Design sessions, Brainstorming, and Bodystorming events.
These techniques help for a faster identification of user needs, and the iterative prototyping process allows for refining products and experiences reducing the time to market of new products. In this way we design a product that is economically sustainable, technologically feasible and emotionally desirable. We listen to innovation needs in many related areas from telecommunication to fashion, learning to engineering, and from research to prototypes we work to deliver the best product experience.
